What Did You Do Today?

Just wondering what every one does during the day and evening? Work? Play? Fish? Camping? Gardening? Smoking? You get the idea........ I work up early to put the venison jerky in the dehydrator and took the fiancé to work and then when I got home I made breakfast. I fixed the bath sink and took a nap. Then I sat around having a few beers waiting for the jerky to get done. Tried to read a book but that's not for me. Oh yea, I cut the lawn b4 the rain. I better save sum stuff 4 2maro. Just wondering what you guys do during the day and evening. Let's here it.

Wife insisted we fish from 6 til 7. I said yeah whatever, fishings been slow here.  Got a 20 inch walleye. A FAT 20 incher. 

Walleyes are hard to catch here but they are fat and healthy. 

Went to Memorial Day observance this morn. Pretty decent crowd even with the dismal weather. Then back home chores around the house, then grilled out.

Glimmer welcome to the club, those things always fire up, pretty dependable…..

Worked on the boat, put all new stickers on, about time to get the Johnson out….. been too long. Net

Started getting ready for return trip to Canada on June 10th. Precooked 5 lbs of bacon, made tartar sauce, 2 -- " Not your mamas meatloaves" and mowed the lawn!. And a couple of brewkis!! Life is GOOD!

Started to change the color of mulch, work in progress and I’m building tomato cages.

Gave my BIL his (deceased) pappy’s Marlin 336 in .35 cal back. Giving up deer hunting. 
He gave me this boat & motor in return. Keeping as a spare, case mine would crap out..
Go ahead, my buddies already said it…
I now have a little Johnson

Got to the cabin last night, unpacked, cleaned up house a little bit. Of course up at 5:00am on vacation   Hubby cut grass as I blew with the backpack blower(which I’m in love with)!!!all the leaves from last year etc… 
Went and bought a mineral lick for my 4 legged friends, and now chilling on couch with the Ranger cat.

Went to sonny number ones home and helped him replace 250 feet of chain link fence.  First time for both of us,  came out well. 

Last week Went to the learning to adult house and had sonny number three help run 100 feet of black pipe for my neighbor and buddy for his grill and a stub for a future garage heater.The kid earned a few bucks but more importantly learned how to cut and thread pipe. Take a measurements in a fitting.  And above all not leave a leak. 
Both times it was and is a good tired for me.

Boy your bike is beautiful Poliski. Had a Honda  350 back in those days. My good friend had a KZ750 when they first came out. He was the only one I knew who had bikes from high school to now and never got a scratch.
We have our 50th (1974) reunion this year hope he shows up.

JB I owned a water front property like that once only much steeper. All I can say is the enthusiasm of youth is soon ambushed by the treachery of old age.

Well watched a little of the cubs game and fell asleep during it. no matter the cubs lost again. missed my usual dinner time so I guess i'll eat now after leaving the website. good night everyone.

Rebuilding stairs on a Waukesha County lake

Planted most of my garden. Cut the grass and sprayed for mosquitoes, they are really getting bad here.
Also put the battery in my old Kawasaki motorcycle, fired right up. It's a 1980, 44 years old  and I'm the original owner, Going to put it up for sale, all original and way too quick for this old guy.

I was up there this morning JJ.  I could've stopped over for a Shandy.  Caught a bunch of nice pike in a few hours of fishing.  Headed home so I could mow the grass while the sun was out and sure enough, wouldn't you know, a thunderstorm soaked the lawn 10 minutes before I got home.  Pic of a 28 incher from earlier today.

Now out to scout for turkeys.
