Birds

If you like watching birds or have any comments about a cool bird in your yard or something, this would be a good place to discuss anything to do with birds.

Man, she comes close about 3 feet away. I think she is thanking me for putting a new things in the lawn and digging things up.

​Not quite this bad but with all these baby grackles and starlings in the yard, this is how it feels sometimes. Lol sounds like it anyway.​​​

Last day till what

Well last day today until July, just love these fast little hummers!

Two more families have joined in and the young ones are learning how to get to the feeder themselves. It’s mayhem and chaos out here. Nobody knows which mom is who.

The starling has four puffballs constantly following her around. They are very hard to get a picture and they were very active and they stay right by the feeders where they mama gotta go  only 1 foot.

Oriole still hitting the feeders once in a while, but the robins are really chasing them away. Not as many Orioles as past years.

A few more hummingbirds 

Did some hummingbird watching today!!

I took the good camera with me yesterday while scouting for turkeys.  As I was driving around, I spotted 40-50 migrating white pelicans in a local marsh.  I took a couple of pics.  While viewing the white pelicans, I could hear yellow-headed blackbirds in the cattails but did not see them.  After getting home, there was a yellow-headed blackbird in the 2nd white pelican pic (upper left corner).

I hope they eat my squirrels!
