If you like watching birds or have any comments about a cool bird in your yard or something, this would be a good place to discuss anything to do with birds.

I took the good camera with me yesterday while scouting for turkeys.  As I was driving around, I spotted 40-50 migrating white pelicans in a local marsh.  I took a couple of pics.  While viewing the white pelicans, I could hear yellow-headed blackbirds in the cattails but did not see them.  After getting home, there was a yellow-headed blackbird in the 2nd white pelican pic (upper left corner).

The 17 year cicadas have been emerging in huge numbers here 25 miles SW of Chi. I haven't seen a bird on the feeders or suet in days, no squirrels in the yard either. Every critter in the neighborhood must be chowing down on our visitors!

And it begins, baby, grackles , and baby starlings are squawking all over in the pines and arborvitae in the back and side lawns. Soon I’ll be a bunch of feather black puffballs bouncing around the yard following me. Hope to get some pictures of that when it happens.

Another casualty from the wind. I hope there were no eggs or little birds in there.

My Hummingbird(s) finally showed up. I was getting a little worried about them.

There is an issue on Twitter right now give it a little bit and you may be able to go on, but I’m pretty sure you need to have the app. I know photos you have to download and then you can play some but videos there is security on them.

Some very young Canada's getting ready for their first swim. Mom's waited for me to back my boat away from the shore line.
